Big-ot Falls: The Mini-canyoneering Experience in Hilongos, Leyte (With Travel Guide)

I never exactly thought that there exists such a beautiful spot near my home.

Big-ot Falls is located in Brgy. San Isidro, Hilongos, Leyte. It has become popular to the Hilongosnons earlier this year when the incumbent Mayor, Hon. Albert Villahermosa, visited the place. When the visit was shared online, Big-ot Falls has become the talk of the town.

Big-ot Falls is not yet popular to people outside of Hilongos. I am also thinking of keeping it away from the outside world to preserve it, but it is too difficult not to blog about its pristine beauty. It really was captivating. ❤

The Hobbit: Bilbo’s Memorable There and Back Again Journey

“There is more in you of good than you know, child of the kindly West. Some courage and some wisdom, blended in measure. If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.”

— Thorin Oakenshield, The Hobbit

I have always loved fantasy books. They are my escape from the stressful reality. I am so happy to share to you my opinion, for the very first time, on a fantasy book that is close to my heart.

I became a fan of J.R.R. Tolkien’s works when I first watched The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Like most women, I of course fell in love with Legolas Greenleaf, but I will not talk about my unrequited love for him in this post. I will focus on how mesmerized I was to be dragged in the world of the entirely respectable Mr. Bilbo Baggins of the Shire.

It is one of those stories that I feel like I am dragged inside a world doing the adventure together with the characters. For that, I will forever be grateful to J.R.R. Tolkien for giving us Middle Earth. ❤

Canigao Island is a name I grew up hearing. It is a famous island among my family and friends because Canigao is only 2 towns away from my home town. The Selection Series: A Love Story built by a Competition of Hearts in a Semi-medieval, Semi-modern Society

“I hope you find someone you can’t live without. I really do. And I hope you never have to know what it’s like to have to try and live without them.”

― America Singer, The Selection

During the first months of 2016, copies of The Selection Series were all around the bookstores in the country. By then, I thought it was a mainstream love story judging on the book cover. I ignored the books for quite some time.

One afternoon, I randomly selected a book to buy. I was feeling hopeful that time to discover another genre of book apart from all the medieval fantasy books that I usually read. I picked The Selection at the nearest shelf.

Good thing I did.

Let me start by once again saying that I am an ENTJ and it is hard. If you are an ENTJ, please read until the end.

This is the very first time that I blogged about Personality Types even though I am crazy about MBTI. Perhaps I was conscious that I might write something incorrect since this is not my field. I am glad that I finally had the courage to share this to you because I am such an avid fan of MBTI.

For this blog, I would be detailing one of the worst struggles that I have as an ENTJ. It is the struggle with laziness, incompetence, and inefficiency.

Looking Back: Make a Difference (MaD) Asia 2014 in Hong Kong

Being a student leader before, I was always very eager to join summits and conferences that would help shape up all the advocacy that I campaign for. Aside from that, summits and conferences that I join would always allow me to create a new network of intelligent and outstanding student leaders that in the long run would somehow become my good friends.

For the year 2014, I was able to become one of the representatives of the Philippines for Make a Difference (MaD) Asia 2014 in Hong Kong. Continue reading “Looking Back: Make a Difference (MaD) Asia 2014 in Hong Kong”
